Champions.

I am still reeling after the gold medal hockey game yesterday afternoon. Our country held its collective breath after the USA tied the game with 24 seconds left in the 3rd period. And then, just over 7 minutes into the overtime period, Sidney Crosby, from the incredible feed by Jerome Iginla, went 5 hole on Miller, to bring an entire nation to its feet, in screaming and cheering glory. The pride of our nation, is at an all time high. With that goal, Canada now holds the Olympic record for most gold medals EVER won by a country in the winter Olympic games. Watching the highlights and montages of Canadian athletes doing their collective best, brought a tear to my eye. Euphoria. Passion. And national pride. Thank you, athletes, for helping us stand tall, and teaching us again, that it is a wonderful thing to be Canadian.
