Once upon a time pt. 7

Once upon a time Pt. 6

The dinner in the castle's grand dining hall was a picture of opulence. Succulent food, wonderful entertainment, and great conversation! When desert was served Prince Jesse addressed his guests,

"my loyal subjects. Thank you for gracing me and my family with your presence. Although this wonderful dinner has come to an end, please, join us in the ballroom for dancing and conversation. I may not be available all night to speak with you, but please, stay as long as you like, and enjoy the rest of your evening!"

After a nice applause, the Prince excused himself, and tapped Pixie's mother on the shoulder. The both left the room, and Pixie knew they'd be discussing her fate for tomorrow. A few minutes passed, and Jesse entered by himself!

Pixie wondered where her mother could have gone? About 45 minutes later, Pixie's mother reentered the ballroom, carrying a small bag. The Prince went over to see her and they were gone again for a few minutes. When they reentered again together, they were both smiling and beckoned Pixie to join them.

She practically ran over, and when she got there her mother kissed her on the cheek and whispered in her ear. "behave yourself young lady!" and disappeared into the crowd of dancers.

The Prince took Pixie by the hand, and led her off through hallways and rooms till they reached an opulent bedroom. She was surprised at first, and couldn't help but notice the mess of butterflies swimming in her stomach!

He brought her over to a small bench and sat her down next to him. Pixie's palms were sweating now, and she was wondering what was next!

He turned to look at her, and finally, spoke softly to her, but his firm gaze never left her own.

"Pixie, since the first time I laid eyes on you, yesterday afternoon, I have not been able to get you out of my mind. I find your presence intoxicating, and asked your mother's permission to ask you if I could court you. I also discussed something else with her, which we will talk about in a minute. But for now, Pixie, will you do me the honor of allowing me to kiss you?"

Pixie blushed, looking in his eyes and smiled, "yes your highness!"

He took her in his arms, and kissed her deeply and passionately! The world around them disappeared, and they were lost in this very special moment of lips on lips for the first time.

When they finally stopped, he said, "I take it that's a yes to courtship?" and they both giggled as she nodded.

"Well then!" said the prince, "now we can discuss something a little less pleasant. I'm sorry we have to do this, but your mother and I feel it quite necessary."

Pixie was lost, wondering what they could have spoken about.

"As you know, a soldier's wage is quite costly. And in our search for you, I employed nearly 10 men in your rescue. I do not expect you or your mother to pay this of course, however, I need you to understand the circumstances. Your mother told me also, that, because you went into the woods alone after being explicitly told not to, along with the situation with the soldiers, has earned you a VERY serious punishment.

Pixie was bright red now, eyes staring at her feet, nodding as tears of shame and guilt welled up in her eyes.

He continued, "so you're mother told me exactly what consequences you would suffer at home, and we also agreed that if you were to accept my courtship, I would take over the responsibility of taking care of this from now on." He handed her the bag her mother had brought in earlier. "she told me this has been used in your family for many years for just such an occasion, and suggested we get this out of the way right now, so that we all can enjoy the rest of the evening without dread."

Pixie's teary eyes were wide as saucers, but, nodded in acceptance. She said, "I am SO sorry Sire. I understand I deserve this, and I promise to try harder in the future."

"thank you Pixie, please stand." He said.

She stood before him, and shivered as she felt his rough hands reach up her dress and tug down her undergarments.

With one swift movement she found herself being draped over his lap like a very naughty young girl, which is exactly how she felt at this moment. And she braced herself for what was to come.

Once upon a time Pt. 5

As Pixie's mother and the Prince slowly headed away from the pile of armor, they hadn't made it more than 20 feet when they heard the rustling in the woods, back the way they came. They stopped and strained to hear, but it stopped. As they turned to investigate, a muffled cry for help emanated from the pile of armor!

Although it felt like eternity for all 3 of them, only an instant passed as Jesse and Pixie's mother leapt from the horse and ran back to the pile. Pixie yelled again as they threw the pieces of armor off her.

Jesse gently sat her up and removed the wet blindfold from her sore eyes, and she blinked first from the sudden sunlight, then from the shock of realization that it was the Prince that freed her! Her mother crashed into her, a tumble of hugs and kisses!

"THANK GOD you're ok!" she shouted as Jesse cut the ropes that bound her wrists behind her back. Pixie wrapped her sore arms around her mother and sobbed, "oh mommy! Thank you for saving me!"

Smiling from a few feet away, Jesse humbly stayed silent.

"Oh no!" said Pixie's mother, "if Prince Jesse hadn't come to help me, you may have perished here!" tears filling her eyes now.

The Prince helped her up and asked if she was ok to ride. With her nod, she was lifted to the saddle with her mother, and he led the horse back the way they came.

Suddenly into the bush, in a crash of leaves, one of the soldiers came upon them.

"oh thank heavens! You've found her!" he exclaimed. "the scouting party that did this got away, all except for one, he was badly injured, and left for dead. He told us, before he passed, that the girl had stumbled upon their camp."

"wait a minute." said Pixie's mother, "she walked into these woods by herself, and was attacked here? Not dragged in? Pixie! Is this true??"

Pixie couldn't speak. She looked down at the ground and nodded as new tears welled up in her eyes.

"We are going to have a SERIOUS talk about this young lady." her mother scolded. "not only did you endanger your life by entering the woods I specifically forbade you to, but you caused all sorts of chaos for our Prince!"

"Oh mother! I'm SO sorry! Sire! Please, I'm sorry don't do anything to my mother for this! Its all my fault," Pixie wept.

"dear, dear, shhhh. Calm down." Jesse said. Tonight you and your mother will join me at MY table for the feast. We will find a suitable replacement for your mother in the kitchen. And you will both do me the honor of staying in the castle tonight. You will both get a good nights sleep, and tomorrow morning, when we've all had a chance to rest, the THREE of us will have this discussion TOGETHER. Your mother is right, that some things need to be dealt with regarding this situation, however, after discussing things with your mother over dinner tonight, we will come to an agreement that satisfies us both. Ok?"

They both nodded their heads with eager anticipation at the nights festivities, and deep down, Pixie was even a little excited at the prospect of getting to know the attractive young Prince a little better!

Once upon a time Pt. 4

Pixie awoke in a haze at first, her mind trying to wipe away the fog of sleep from her consciousness. And suddenly there was pain.

"ohhhhh" she groaned as her head pounded from the injury suffered earlier. She looked around, but all was dark. Still groggy, her memory of what had happened began to slowly creep back. Berry picking, sneaking into the forest, the armor, then....

"what happened," she thought. And reaching up to rub her head, sudden and unexpected restriction. "Wha....?" and the realization. Her wrists were bound behind her back! And its not dark out, she was blindfolded! Her mind shot the response almost instantly to her body, Panic. She thrashed and struggled against her bonds. Her body writhing and squirming in a way very similar to how it moved when she found herself draped over her mother's lap. However, like when she was in that situation, her struggles were for naught. She wondered where she was, how much time had passed? And the warm, choking, wet tears began to dampen the blindfold.

"help!" she squeaked through tears. Her mouth still dry from sleeping. A cough, "HELP!!!" she was able to shout this time. The sound echoed as though she was trapped in a steel room. But the ground was damp and soft earth.

And suddenly, from not too far away, she heard the sound of heavy approaching footsteps.

Once upon a time pt. 3

"SIRE! SIRE!" shouted the messenger as he ran into the court. "Our patrols have spotted scouts from the kingdom to the north in the woods at our northern border! We also have word that a young girl living in the staff housing nearby has igone missing!"

Prince Jesse lept from his seat. "What girl?" he insisted "What is her name?"

"I don't know yet Sire, all I know is her and her mother work here in the castle kitchens, her mother is frantic, and she had to be forcibly held back from heading into the woods by herself this morning!"

The Prince was already out into the grand hall leading out from the court. He was headed for the stables as fast as his feet would carry him.

"I've only just learned her name! Please let me not be too late to actually hear her speak!" he worried to himself.

Pixie's mom was about ready to start screaming when she saw the large horse galloping toward the small group of royal guards surrounding her.

She bent to a knee as she realized it was the Prince! New tears streamed from her cheeks as she begged, "please Sire, don't take me to the prisons, I only need to find my daughter! I told her to stay away from the woods, but she didn't listen!"

"Madam, worry yourself no longer. You need not fear prison. I came to collect you, and the two of us will find her." Jesse told her.

"Oh thank you Sire! Thank you!" and she ran to the horse and rider.

"Listen up soldiers!" he ordered "grab whatever men you can find nearby, and start searching the northern woods. Anything you find, or any information, give to one rider who will bring it to the court. He will head back and gather more from you then. Continue this until I tell you to stop, or you find the girl. Do you understand?"

"Yes Sir!" they shouted, and began running off.

Jesse made a clicking noise with his tongue, and spurred the horse towards where Pixie's mother had found the empty and abandoned berry basket. And as sudden as he had appeared before her, Pixie's mother and the young Prince disappeared into the woods.

Their ride was quick, but thorough. They could not gallop through the thick woods, and though panicked, they both knew they needed to keep a keen eye out for any sign of the young girl.

Suddenly, glinting in the morning sun they spotted it. A large pile of armor and Pixie's white shawl, it had a large spot of crimson on its collar.

Pixie's mother wept, and prayed they would find her unharmed.

Once upon a time pt. 2

"Hi mommy!" Pixie shouted as she kicked off her shoes and slammed the door. She slumped down on one of the small kitchen chairs, happy to be off her aching feet for a moment.

"Hey lil one, don't get too comfy, I need you to run out back and pick some berries for tomorrow's feast, I'm busy with our dinner tonight."

"Awwwww, mom!" Pixie whined, as she frowned. "I don't wanna!"

Her mom walked over and stood next to Pixie. "unless you need your panties pulled down little one, I'd suggest you hop to it, and you'll stay away from the woods if you don't want me to use the wooden spoon missy!"

Pixie slowly got up and stomped back to the door. And just as she was walking out, she turned and stuck her tongue out at her mom.

"watch it Pixie!" shouted her mom, but she was already out the door.

Pixie sauntered over to the berry bushes out back, and couldn't help but notice they were pretty bare. There were, however, some wonderful looking ones on the bushes at the edge of the woods nearby. She quickly snuck over to the bushes, when something just inside the forest caught her eye. The light from the setting sun had glinted off it and she figured, what would be the harm in checking it out? So, she set her basket by the bush, its branches still sagging with the weight of the berries, her basket near empty, and she crept into the woods, she realized suddenly, if she was caught, she'd definitely be spending her night sleeping on her tummy, and looked back toward the edge of the woods, trying to decide if she should just go back...

"well, I've gone this far, already, so if I get caught I'm gonna get it either way." she muttered to herself as she vowed to make sure no one found out she went into the woods. As she got close to the small gleaming bit of metal, she realized it wasn't small at all! It was a large pile of discarded bits of armor and weaponry!

Suddenly the brush behind her snapped, and before she could whip around to see what made the sound, she was blinded by pain in the back of her head, and the world went black.

Pixie's mom stared into the darkness from her kitchen window, and wondered, "what is taking her so very long?"
